Mumford & Sons..

...are my new favorite band (of course at the moment). Four lads from London play empressive folk rock music. And with a hella lot of passion. They put out thier Debut Album, titled, Sign No More in 2009 in the UK. They are set to release the album here in the U.S. Feb. 10th.

Whats great about them. Well for starters their lyrics are honest, and transported by Marcus Mumfords loud raspy voice. Furthermore the accents of banjo & violin flicking in the background will capture any alt. country/folk fan.

Aww the rabbit is scared....

If you dont know who Frightened Rabbit is, you must not listen to rock music. Use of rock is taken lightly. The band from Scotland had wonderful success with thier second album, MIDNIGHT ORGAN FIGHT, and after sometime they are just about ready to release thier third, THE WINTER OF MIXED DRINKS, out March 2nd!!!

Freelance Whales

Sick of bands trying to sound like postal service, or add that extra hint of electronica, and failing miserably. Well, Freelance Whales are not among them. They manage to add hints of electronica into lovely indie pop songs that keep your attention. Thier debut album, Weathervanes, is very very good!

Live Love: Rise & Shine (WOXY sessions)

She & Him are BACK!!

New Album out March 23rd titled, Volume Two, from the lovely duo of Zooey Deschanel & master of folk, M. Ward. Album was said to be more mature, with the duo taking more risks in the studio due to feeling more comfortable with one another.

Judging by there new song, In the Sun, I'd have to agree. I'd be darn suprised if their second album wasnt btter than thier first!
